My name is Ada, and I am a Finnish linguist and language instructor based in London, UK.
Most days, I am alternating between translating, subtitling, or proofreading for clients and delivering Finnish classes to students from all around the world. I get to enjoy the best of both worlds!
As a translator, I specialise in:
- educational materials like textbooks, instructor manuals, exercises, tests, and online courses.
- psychometric test materials like test stimuli, test administrator's manuals, and research reports.
I have also plenty of experience working with audiovisual materials, including subtitling, time-coding, and interactive online learning materials.

As a teacher, I teach Finnish to students of all levels.
In the past, I have taught:
- individuals/groups who are preparing for YKI-tests (Finnish National Certificates of Language Proficiency)
- professionals working in Finnish companies and looking to improve their Finnish at the workplace
- absolute beginners looking to grasp the fundamentals of Finnish
